New Parkson University Video Features the Sequencing Batch Reactor for Biological Treatment

Parkson Corporation is pleased to announce the release of the latest video in the Parkson University series, “Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) – Parkson’s EcoCycle SBR™.” In this video, we discuss the process of biologically treating wastewater in a batch mode and what differentiates Parkson's SBR from others.

Sequencing batch reactors are a type of activated sludge process for wastewater treatment where all of the treatment stages (fill, react, settle, decant and idle) occur in the same reactor. This eliminates the need for separate clarifiers and much of the yard piping required with conventional systems. The SBR process is time based, allowing the operator flexibility to adjust treatment steps as conditions change. The control system is easily configured to optimize conditions for nutrient removal for plants requiring nitrate and / or phosphorous removal.

This video reviews the different types of aeration systems that are available with Parkson's SBR systems, as well as, features and benefits of the floating decanter. End users have the option of selecting Parkson’s EcoCycle SBR™ which is operated in a true batch mode where only one tank fills at a time. Parkson also offers the PISCES™ Continuous Fill SBR where all SBR tanks are filled concurrently and decanted in a batch mode.
